Fiji star Josua Tuisova informed of son’s death before game, he’ll miss the funeral

Josua Tuisova was confronted with a heartbreaking tragedy shortly before contributing to his team’s victory at the Rugby World Cup.

Just hours before the kickoff against Georgia, Tuisova received the devastating news from his father that his seven-year-old son had succumbed to a prolonged illness.

Despite this heart-wrenching loss, the 29-year-old has made the difficult decision not to return to Fiji for his son’s funeral on Tuesday, opting instead to remain with the tournament alongside Simon Raiwalui’s squad as they prepare for a probable quarter-final clash against England, as reported by the Fijian news outlet Fiji Village.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Tito Micgabraph Donzel Ratulevu,” a statement in Fiji read.
