Originally from Hamilton in South Lanarkshire, Mr Leslie’s work in environmental health and waste management took him south of the border.
He refereed out of the Manchester Society and he went on to become the society’s President.
He also served as chairman of rugby for Fylde RFC, near his home in Lytham St Annes.
