Richard Cockerill has joined French side Toulon as a rugby consultant
The 46-year-old has joined the Top 14 club until the end of the season
Cockerill was sacked by Tigers on Monday after nearly eight years in charge
Toulon have announced that former Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill will join them as a consultant until the end of the season.
Former Tigers and England hooker Cockerill was on the coaching staff at Leicester since 2004 and became director of rugby in 2010.
But at the request of new Toulon head coach Mike Ford, he will now be a consultant at the French club as they look to push for honours.
The 46-year-old will link up with fellow Englishman Ford, forwards coach Marc Dal Maso and skills coach Steve Meehan at Stade Mayol.
