French rugby president Bernard Laporte has leaked the date of when the postponed tournament will restart – and it’s not too far off.
The former France coach went public in saying Les Bleus’ clash with Ireland in Paris has been rescheduled for October 31.
The game was among the matches postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Asked if the tournament would be concluded in the autumn, Laporte said: “Yes, France-Ireland is announced for October 31.”
Ireland are believed to have pencilled in facing Italy in Dublin a week earlier on October 24.
That leaves October 31 as a Super Saturday finale, with Italy v England and Wales’ remaining clash with Scotland almost certainly taking place on the same day as France v Ireland.
