France produced a dominant performance to secure a commanding 43-0 win over Wales in their Six Nations opener. The hosts stormed into a 29-0 halftime lead, thanks to tries from Theo Attissogbe (17′, 33′), Louis Bielle-Biarrey (22′, 40′), and a relentless attacking display.
Wales were unable to break through France’s defence and failed to register any points. The French continued their dominance after the break with Julien Marchand (54′), Emilien Gailleton (67′), and Gregory Alldritt (77′) adding further tries.
Despite some determined defence, Wales couldn’t find any rhythm, leaving them scoreless at full-time in this one-sided affair.

French Player Ratings
1.Jean-Baptiste Gros-6
Solid at the set piece and really tested the Welsh front row. Never took a step backwards and punished a lacklustre Wales pack.
2.Peato Mauvaka-7
Lineout was squeaky clean and was a vital platform for France to attack. Robust around the breakdown and secured France a lot of clean ball for them to utilise effectively.
3.Uini Antonio-6
Antonio was his usual self using all his size and strength to completely batter the Welsh pack. Done his job really industriously and earned his team some easy rides to their success.
4.Alexandre Roumat-6
Line-out was immaculate and really enabled the French to an easy ride in attack. Never really made any major mistakes and was part of a hugely impressive Forwards performance.
5.Emmanuel Meafou-6
Another member of the French pack which made an impressive showing in Paris. An all-round solid showing with very little in the way of any mistakes.
6.Francois Cros-6
Cros was great around the breakdown and stopped Wales’ dreadful attack from really getting anywhere near going in anyway. An opening-round game like this will be a huge confidence booster for Cros.
7.Paul Boudehent-7
Another impressive performance topping off a great showing from the French forwards who looked borderline unstoppable.
8.Gregory Alldritt-8
Alldritt was back to his peak best and really captured everything great about the hosts’ performance. A player of the match to boot placed the French number 8 in great steed for the rest of the tournament.
9.Antoine Dupont ©-9
This was textbook Dupont. He was a constant threat for the Welsh defence and at times looked like he was playing for fun and cut Wales to absolute shreds in open play. Dupont and Ntamack clicked really well in attack and kept France fluid.

Had a really good game but gave away a really silly red card which is a huge dampener, especially with a trip to the Allianz stadium next up in the Six Nations. The initial yellow was incredibly unnecessary considering the scoreline and plagues the future games.
11.Louis Bielle-Biarrey-8
Bielle-Biarrey was exceptional and looked all action with the ball in hand and popped up with a few clever cameos in midfield. Two tries to start his account for the competition in what looks like it could be many more,
12.Yoram Moefana-7
Moefana looked really comfortable in running the attack as a second receiver and gave France so many more outlets in attack which unlocked the Welsh defence on numerous occasions.
13.Pierre-Louis Barrasi-6
Didn’t feature as much on the ball as he would’ve hoped but still a solid showing which was far from able to be complained baout.
14.Theo Attissogbe-8
Attissogbe looked really exciting gives future selection a real headache especially with Penaud potentially coming back into attention. Two tries for his efforts was more than what the younger winger would’ve hoped for.
15.Thomas Ramos-8
Ramos was reliable as ever from the kicking tee which in a game like this matters less but in a higher pressure game could be hugely beneficial for France and will no doubt give him a huge confidence boost.
