France vs Ireland player ratings as the hosts kept their Grand Slam hopes alive with another impressive win at the Stade de France in Paris.
World Player of the Year Antoine Dupont scored in just the second minute as France dominated the first half to lead 19-7 at the break with Melvyn Jaminet slotting 14 points from the tee.
Ireland’s only points of the first half came when winger Mack Hansen caught a restart kick to stroll over unchallenged.
Jaminet pushed the hosts further clear after the restart but quickfire tries from Josh van der Flier and Jamison Gibson-Park reduced the deficit to just one point.
Cyril Baille’s unconverted try pushed the hosts further ahead before Carbery took his tally to nine to set up a grandstand finish, 27-24.
However, another kick from Jaminet, after his potential try was held up, secured the win for the hosts.
