Germany appoints Australian as Director of Rugby

The German Rugby Association has succeeded in finding a new director of rugby.

Paul Healy will now be responsible for all matters relating to the national team of the DRV, firstly on a four-month probationary period.

The Australian has previously worked with international sides including Brazil, Chile and Uruguay as well as club sides Ospreys and Stade Francais.

“Taking on this important role is another big challenge for me in my work and personal life so far,” says revealed Healy.

“I’m looking forward to the months ahead and look forward to my many years of experience as a manager and coach in order to strengthen German rugby in the short term and to prepare for the upcoming tasks. ”

In addition to all the necessary trainer qualifications, Healy has also successfully completed a sports management degree at Swinburne University and maintains excellent contacts in international rugby – including England coach Eddie Jones.
