Danny Cipriani’s mysterious omission from Gloucester’s squad against former club Wasps has been explained by his head coach George Skivington.
“Danny was one of a number of players who couldn’t train on Monday or Tuesday.” said Skivington.
“So we decided after what happened last week that basically we needed the full team training together for a week.
“Lewis Ludlow was part of that as well, and he was really frustrated to be left out because he could’ve played. It’s just a decision I made, they couldn’t train on Monday and Tuesday, I thought it was best to be involved in the team and stay together all week so that was the reasons behind my selection.
“Lloyd did a great job, he organised well, he had a couple of nice moments himself and he is a player who is really thriving under the guidance of Alex King.”
