Guinness Pro 12 Final: Munster 22-46 Scarlets

Scarlets blew Munster away with a first-half blitz as they triumphed in the Guinness Pro 12 final in front of record crowd at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The Welsh side, who last won the title in 2004, surged clear with tries from departing Liam Williams, Steff Evans, Gareth Davies and Tadhg Beirne.

Munster fly-half Tyler Bleyendaal touched down to narrow the gap but Munster trailed a substantial 29-10 at the break.

DTH Van der Merwe, who joins Newcastle Falcons this summer, scored his 50th Pro12 try off the bench for Scarlets try before consolation tries from Andrew Conway and Keith Earls.

The men in red nevertheless had the final say as James Davies went over late on.
