Harlequins have confirmed that flanker Tom Lawday, will remain at the Stoop after renewing his contract. The Doncaster-born back rower joined Harlequins in 2019 from Exeter Chiefs, and has since made 71 appearances for the West London club. Lawday was a part of the Gallagher Premiership winning side who performed the miraculous Twickenham comeback against his former club, in the unbelievable 2021 Premiership Final.
“I am delighted to extend my time at Harlequins. I have enjoyed every moment of my time at this great club since joining four years ago. This group is not only filled with some of the best rugby players and staff in the country but some fantastic teammates and friends.” Lawday told Harlequins.
Harlequins Defence and Lineout Coach Jerry Flannery is delighted to have retained the services of Lawday.
“This is a talented group that embraces an entertaining, deadly brand of rugby and I am excited to be able to continue playing my part in this team.” Flannery said to Harlequins.
“Tommy is a really good guy and a great rugby player. His versatility as a player and the consistency of his performances is a highly valuable asset and we are lucky to be able to call him our own.”
