RUCK: Starting ahead of fan favourite Hamish Watson, the number 8 who was being deployed on the flank needed a big performance and he didn’t deliver. The 31-year-old, who made just two carries in his 52 minutes on the field, looked lost on the blindside, costing his side two turnovers and also managing to miss a game high five tackles. Gregor Townsend’s decision to start him ahead of Watson proved to be as ridiculous as it sounded.
