The renowned French Top 14 team confirmed that Farrell has committed to a two-year contract set to commence on July 1.

Having captained Saracens at the StoneX Stadium for the entirety of his career, the 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience to Racing 92.

Notably, Farrell made his debut at the age of 17, and his enduring presence on the field has marked him as a seasoned leader.

Before the official announcement, Springbok skipper Kolisi shared insights about Farrell’s imminent arrival, providing a glimpse into the anticipation surrounding this significant signing.

“I hope he f***ing comes. I hope he does,” Kolisi told Jim Hamilton on The Big Jim Show.

“I love Owen, I really like him. I speak to him every now and then.

“I don’t understand why people don’t like him, I just think he’s f***ing competitive which is what you want.

“It’d be good for us, it’d be great for us if he could come.

“He’s really a good leader, I think he’s very competitive and he’s just misunderstood.”

The pair, along with their wives, spent some time together over the weekend as the Farrell’s prepare for their big move.
