Many of you will have heard the news that UK Sport has cruelly and unjustifiably cut all funding for the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby team.
This news has shocked the public, created a sense of uncertainty and despair for the athletes and put the future of the growing sport at risk.
Gutted for @GBWRNews that the funding appeal has been rejected. Rediculous decision!! 😡 Not over though, time to raise some 💷💷 #SaveGBWR

Headed up by GBWR ambassador and England and Harlequins fullback Mike Brown, they have now launched this campaign to secure funding for the team.
Since London 2012 the sport has grown from 7 to 22 teams, helped Iraq and Afghanistan veterans recover their sense of pride and purpose and provided participation opportunities for countless people with wide-ranging physical impairments.

Without funding the GB team won’t survive, because the players won’t be able to train or travel to international competitions.
Without funding there is no hope for the current GB team athletes, many of whom will have to revert to claiming disability benefits.
All donations will be used to support the GB team to prepare, qualify and participate in the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2020.
