Highest capped XV to never play a test for the British & Irish Lions

Ireland legend Rory Best has a right to feel more than a touch aggrieved. No other player has played more international matches than he has without winning a British & Irish Lions test cap.

Here we look at the players with the most caps in each position who ultimately never won a test cap for the Lions, although some did tour throughout their careers.

Perhaps the unluckiest man on the list is 2003 World Cup winner Mike Tindall, who was more often than not struck down by injury at the worst possible time.
