‘I’m lucky I played with him’ – Sonny Bill Williams ranks his five best players

Sonny Bill Williams has announced his retirement from both rugby codes back in March – league and union – and has hinted he will pursue a boxing career.

The 35-year-old won 58 caps for New Zealand after making his debut against England in 2010. He played in three World Cups and was part of the All Blacks’ triumphs in 2011 and 2015.

Having played with some of the very best, Williams has now revealed his five favourite rugby union players after hanging up his boots.

Williams said: “You just have to watch some of his highlights videos on the football field to realise what a talent he is. He’s another guy who can just create something out of nothing and I don’t think gets the credit he deserves.”
