There were incredible scenes at full-time when Portugal slotted a last-gasp penalty to draw 16-16 with The USA and as a result book their place at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
The 82nd minute penalty from Samuel Marquez means the men in red finished top of the group ahead of the Eagles with a superior points difference.
Scenes at full-time were quite incredible.
Reacting to the incredible ending, one fan wrote: “That kicker has serious b***s,”
“16 years after their debut appearance in France, Portugal will be back at the Rugby World Cup,” commented a second.
A third added: “Portugal beat the USA to qualify for 2023 Rugby World Cup in France. No USA at the World Cup for the first time since 1995! What a moment for Portugal.,”
