Injury News: Two more England players doubtful for World Cup opener

Another two England players are doubtful for their Rugby World Cup opener against Tonga on September 22nd, with Eddie Jones now missing up to four players.

Jack Nowell and Mako Vunipola were already ruled out to midway through the pool stage, but now Mark Wilson and Joe Cokanasiga look to have been ruled out.

The back-rower and winger haven’t taken part in full training due to knee problems and now, according to Jones, are now undergoing a “mini pre-season”.

“When guys get knocks and niggles they go through a rehab process based on a specific injury,” said defence coach John Mitchell, who declined to reveal whether the players could recover in time.
