Worcester Warriors centre Ashley Beck has undergone surgery on the broken leg which he sustained in the opening minutes of last week’s European Challenge Cup victory over Stade Francais in Paris.
It is expected that the Wales international, who visited a specialist earlier this week, will be sidelined for six months.
Beck joined Warriors from Ospreys during the summer and was making his second start in Paris when he was injured in a third minute attack.
