Leicester Tigers full-back Telusa Veainu faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken jaw in Saturday’s 33-10 European Cup defeat by Munster in Limerick.
The Tongan, who has been in excellent form for Tigers this season, sustained the injury in a clash of heads as Andrew Conway challenged him for a high ball in the 46 minute.
Leicester boss Matt O’Connor confirmed after tonight’s game that Telusa Veainu suffered a broken jaw from this clash with Andrew Conway. Nasty stuff indeed for both men. pic.twitter.com/8JwAJn5lTo

Head coach Matt O’Connor’s immediate task is to find somebody to fill in for Veainu in next week’s reverse fixture at Welford Road, although there is the possibility of Tigers being bolstered by the return of centres Manu Tuilagi and Matt Toomua. A
Australia hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau should also be available to make his debut.
