Ireland Autumn International Squad: Former England U20 star included

A 42 man Ireland squad, including three uncapped players, has been named for the November Tests against Argentina, New Zealand, USA and Italy.

Will Addison, Sammy Arnold and Ross Byrne are the three uncapped players in the squad.

Byrne, who was an uncapped member of the Ireland Summer Tour squad to Australia, is one of three uncapped players in the squad.

Munster’s Arnold, who trained with the squad during the Six Nations, and Ulster’s Addison, who played against Ireland U20 for England, has also been included.

Murray admitted to reporters on Wednesday the November Tests had come too for him.

Asked when he might be back in action, Murray told reporters: “A couple of weeks; obviously the (Ireland) squad is being named today and I have not chatted to anyone.

“I’d have been lucky to be named in it because I haven’t played and you need that – especially with the calibre of Argentina and the All Blacks in particular. You’re going to have to be ready.

“So, in and around the end of November hopefully.”
