James Haskell forced to defend Mike Tindall after controversial I’m A Celeb story

James Haskell has been forced to defend Mike Tindall after the England legend revealed he ripped his trousers in front of his mother-in-law, Princess Anne.

He told Seann and Babatunde during the show: “Zara had a bit of like a 30th birthday. It was a disco – 70s themed one. “I was dancing on the dancefloor – I had flares on, like full outfit, but it was quite tight. Nothing ever fits like a rugby players bum and legs or whatever.

“So I was dancing with my mother-in-law and… um.. I did a sl**drop in front of my mother-in-law.”

Recalling the embarrassing moment, Mike said: “I ripped my trousers straight in front of her, and it happened to be my boxers at the time said ‘nibble my nuts’. And as I turned around, she’s gone, ‘I’d rather not’.

During his time in the jungle, Tindall has also displayed ‘absolute distaste’ for fellow I’m A Celebrity campmate Matt Hancock.

Tensions between the disgraced politician, whose appearance has caused widespread backlash, and the former rugby player have been intense from day one.

“When the opened his mouth when he was asked why did he come here, all I heard was bulls***, bulls***,” bulls***,” Mike said when Hancock tried to explain his reasons entered the jungle.

He went onto brand all politicians ‘f*****s’ to campmates.

This came after the disgraced politician sparked outrage across the nation when it was revealed that he had been having a secret affair with a close aide while coronavirus social distancing guidelines were in place.

Prior to taking on Hancock in a challenge he joked: “If I went home and I’d lost to Matt Hancock, I’d be in so much s***.”

The two also had a tense exchange last night with Tindall saying: “Our leader, you need to have a word with your deputy.”

Alex Payne, who co-hosts The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby podcast with Mike and former England flanker James Haskell has claimed that  Mike is getting “bored” in the Australian jungle.

Alex said: “It’s been very odd for us watching him in there [the jungle] knowing him as well as we do, and just sort of seeing the motions. I think this week he’s struggling a little bit with it and he’s been getting quite bored with it all, because it’s become the Matt Hancock Show.”

The former athlete later confronted Hancock after he didn’t clean the sink after shaving and said: ‘So much of a trial that you couldn’t do it.’

A quivering Hancock said to Sue: ‘I apologise. I won’t do it again in future. I’m sorry that you had to do that [mimed tipping water].’

Later, Mike added in Bush Telegraph: ‘If it was that easy, why didn’t you bl***y do it?’
