James Haskell says rugby is becoming pathetic after his Wasps side was denied a try because of a high tackle he made.
The England flanker came off the bench for Wasps against the Northampton Saints on Sunday and was disheartened by the referee’s decision when a John Bassett touchdown was disallowed because of a high tackle by Haskell in the build-up.
“I’m pretty emotional about that last penalty, I don’t know what’s happened to rugby. It sounds like I’m fading out at the right time because it has becoming a bit of a pathetic sport at the moment I think,” he said afterwards.
