A number of fans watching the Blues triumph over British and Irish Lions in Auckland at Eden Park had to be separated after fighting broke out in the stands.
The Lions slipped to their first tour defeat as a late Ihaia West try, courtesy of a world-class offload from Sonny Bill Williams in the build-up, saw the Blues secure a historic victory.
“All of a sudden he was involved in a struggle, and punches were flying,” an eye witness told New Zealand website, Stuff.
“There was beer flung at them as they were scuffling. Loads of people around were quick to try and stop the fight. It was over pretty quickly, but it looked pretty nasty.”
The Lions now play the Canterbury Crusaders on Saturday with Warren Gatland likely to field this XV according to Sky Sports.
