London Irish are looking to complete a marquee signing ahead of their stadium move this summer.
The exiles will end 20 years of playing home matches at Reading's Madejski Stadium with the move to Brentford FC's new Community Stadium from the summer of 2020.
The 17,250-capacity stadium on Lionel Road near Kew Bridge has also been confirmed as a host venue for the Women's European Championship in 2021
Here we list five possible targets for the men in green.
1. Sergio Parisse
According to RUCK sources, the Italy legend could continue his professional career in 2020/21 after a Premiership club offered him a lucrative one-year contract.
Talks between the club and player are thought to be early but have been described as ‘positive’.
Parisse left Stade Francais last summer, signing a one-year contract with three-time European champions Toulon.
2. Marland Yarde
Despite reported interest from Leicester Tigers, the speedster had looked set to sign a new contract at the AJ Bell having recovered from a significant knee injury.
However, with survival confirmed following Saracens relegation, London Irish have reportedly made contact with the England speedster.
Yarde began his career at London Irish, spending four years with the Exiles for whom he made 47 appearances, scoring 13 tries before then making the short move across the capital to Harlequins in 2014
3. Maro Itoje
Itoje has had a one-year loan move to French side Racing 92 blocked by Premiership Rugby clubs after Saracens relegation from the English topflight.
The England lock is one of several stars who have been left unsure of their future after Saracens salary cap breach that saw them given a 105-point deduction and fined £5.36million.
With Itoje's future still unconfirmed, it would be silly of London Irish to not explore a loan move for the England powerhouse, even if it's just a one and done season. He'd put bums in seats for sure.
4. Chris Robshaw
Having already announced that he's leaving Harlequins, it was thought that the former England captain, who win 66 caps between 2008 and 2016, would be heading across the pond to play Major League Rugby.
However, the MLR's future is up in the air after the season was cancelled due to the Coronavirus, which means the flanker would be without a club.
If they could tempt him, the 33-year-old would be a great signing.
