Thirty referees have been chosen to officiate 49 men’s internationals during the window and Pacific Nations Cup, while an additional 16 have been selected for the U20 Championship and U20 Trophy.

A total of 24 nations, spanning from Argentina to Zimbabwe, will be represented in these appointments, aligning with World Rugby’s strategic initiative to foster and cultivate high-performance talent in preparation for future Rugby World Cups.

Luc Ramos of France is slated to officiate the opening match of the June-July window between Japan and England in Tokyo on 22 June, while Nic Berry of Australia will take charge of the Pacific Nations Cup final in Osaka, Japan, on 21 September.

Notable appointments include three tests for both Berry and Hollie Davidson of Scotland. Davidson will oversee matches such as Canada vs. Romania on 12 July, South Africa vs. Portugal on 20 July, and Japan vs. USA in the Pacific Nations Cup on 7 September.

In a significant step forward for gender inclusivity, Davidson is among three women appointed to test matches, alongside Kat Roche of the USA and Precious Pazani of Zimbabwe, who have been named assistant referees.

Roche will assist in matches like Canada vs. Romania and Canada vs. Japan on 25 August, while Pazani is set to officiate Namibia vs. Portugal on 13 July.

Meanwhile, Mathieu Raynal of France will mark his 50th and final test as a referee, a milestone moment as he concludes his illustrious career. Raynal will officiate the Chile vs. Scotland match in Santiago on 20 July, becoming the fourth Frenchman and 13th official overall to reach this significant milestone.

Additionally, Kahlil Harrison of the USA has been named as an assistant referee for the Canada vs. Scotland match on 6 July. Harrison’s recent participation in the Match Officials Academy in Stellenbosch, South Africa underscores World Rugby’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of international match officials.
