Wales romped to a largely unsurprisingly comfortable 48-7 win over Italy at at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico on Saturday afternoon.
A Wales win was never in doubt as they scorched to a 22-0 lead after just 23 minutes.
Wayne Pivac’s men led 27-0 at half time with their points coming courtesy of tries from Ken Owens (2), Josh Adams and Toby Faletau – the boot of Dan Biggar gave them seven more points.
Although Monty Ioane’s try, converted by Paolo Garbisi, gave the Italians some cheer in the second half, Wales’ momentum continued in the second period as George North, Callum Sheedy and Louis Rees-Zammit bagged second-half scores.
Sheedy added to a further second-half conversion from Biggar with two of his own to round off a resounding victory.
And the social media world had their say on the performance of both sides.
