Mike Brown gives emotional interview after being named man of the match

An emotional Mike Brown speaks following a player of the match performance in his first game back since signing with Leicester Tigers.

Tigers survived a late onslaught to inflict just a second Premiership defeat on leaders Saracens and boost their hopes of a top-four finish.

Handre Pollard, Cameron Henderson and Mike Brown all crossed for Tigers in the opening half hour but Eroni Mawi pulled one back just before half-time.

An Alex Goode penalty and interception try by Alex Lewington put Sarries six points behind with half an hour left.

But Leicester held firm to end a run of three straight Premiership defeats.

Sale Sharks director of rugby Alex Sanderson said after the game: “He (Tuilagi) is gutted. He’s apologised and said he owes us.

“He fully owns what happened out there and that’s the kind of man he is.

“I know he will pay us back, but all of that is tough to take when you’re still reeling from a game that we could and probably should have won.
