“One big difference” – It’s been revealed how to tell Ben and Tom Curry apart

Plenty of people have been asking how to tell Ben and Tom Curry apart.

Sale, England and the British & Irish Lions – Tom Curry has made a vivid imprint on the game since making his debut in 2017..

However, it will be flanker Ben Curry’s chance to impress when he earns a second England cap on Saturday 17 months after his first, stepping in for injured brother Tom.

Speaking to BBC North West Tonight, the twins revealed the easiest way to tell them apart is their hair.

However, Sale teammate Josh Beaumont thinks the easier to tell them apart now is by pure size.

How to tell Ben and Tom Curry apart?

Beaumont explained to Rugby Pass that an injury inadvertently led to Tom bulking up in recovery after hurting his hand.

“They’ve both unbelievable over the ball. That’s probably their strength,” said Beaumont.

“I think Tom got an injury a couple of years ago around one of the Autumn games. He broke his hand or something and had three months out.

“He got absolutely huge in that three months.”

According to recent stats, 110kg Tom is 4kg heavier than 105.91kg Ben.

Curry twins facts | Seven things you didn’t know about the back-row duo

Here are seven things you might not know about the popular Sale Sharks duo.

1. Rugby family

They are the son of Bishop Heber High School Head Teacher David Curry and nephew of former England hooker John Olver and cousin of Ealing Trailfinders fly-half Sam Olver.

2. Football trial

It is true that they had a trial at Manchester City, who the twins support, but that was scuppered by Tom scoring an own goal. Probably for the best in the end.
