Premiership Rugby moves into Sweden for the first time

Aviva Premiership Rugby will break new ground this weekend when it broadcasts its first live match in Sweden.

A new agreement between Premiership Rugby and Swedish pay television broadcaster C More Entertainment AB, will ensure the league is shown live in Sweden, kicking off with Saracens trip to Kingsholm to take on Gloucester Rugby tonight.

Our international broadcast partners include Fox Sports in Australia, NBC in USA, SFR Sport in France, SuperSport in South Africa, Kwese Sports in sub-Saharan Africa, Sky in New Zealand, Rogers in Canada and OSN in MENA as well as DAZN in Japan and Germany. We are delighted to welcome C More and Sweden to the Premiership Rugby family.

C More will air at least one fixture per weekend – live with Swedish commentary on Sportkanalen – for all remaining rounds of the 2017-18 season, including the semi-finals and final.

The deal was secured by Premiership Rugby’s global rights holder RDA, who acquired Premiership Rugby rights outside UK & Eire and USA for five years from the 2016-17 season through to 2020-21, in partnership with French telecoms company Altice.
