“Ready to go” – Anthony Watson signs with Premiership club

Discussions are underway for the potential return of England winger Anthony Watson to the Leicester Tigers.

Despite the 29-year-old’s departure after the expiration of his previous contract last summer, there now seems to be renewed interest in his return to the club.

Watson, who missed the World Cup due to a calf injury, had initially been expected to join the ranks of several other England internationals moving abroad.

However, the Tigers’ head coach, Dan McKellar, has expressed his desire to bring Watson back into the fold and revealed that the club’s leadership is actively exploring the possibility of a new contract.

“That’s all up in the air,” McKellar said.

“Wilksy [general manager Richard Wilks] and Andrea [chief executive Andrea Pinchen] will deal with that and I’m sure there will be announcements in and around that at the right time.”

Expected England team to play Fiji:
