The Lions lock had sought approval for a season-long loan deal at Racing 92 in Paris, but the move was vetoed. According to RUCK sources, Itoje is hopeful that this deal could still be completed despite the initial rejection.
It’s also understood that the 2019 European Player of the Year, Alex Goode, has agreed terms on a season-long loan move to Japan.
Meanwhile, centre Alex Lozowski, may not be moving after all. He was on course to go to London Irish on loan, but that plan has collapsed, reports the Mail Online.
