Sale Sharks are looking to refresh their squad ahead of next season with reports today suggesting they’re targeting two England internationals to strengthen their ranks.
Mail Online scribe Nik Simon has revealed that ‘Sale are eyeing up an ambitious move for England internationals Jonny Hill and Jonathan Joseph.’
Joseph, who has seen his career go stale at the Rec, is set to be a free agent next summer and is understood to be on Alex Sanderson’s shortlist to replace Rohan Janse van Rensburg, who is keen to return home to South Africa.
Meanwhile, Exeter Chiefs have very little budget to better Hill’s current salary, which he signed before becoming an England regular.
Sale, however, face significant competition for the second-row’s signature with Wasps and Leicester also interested in signing Hill, should he decide to leave.
