1. Sergio Parisse (Number 8)
Parisse left Stade Francais last summer, signing a one-year contract with three-time European champions Toulon.
Gloucester have tried to sign the legendary number eight once before in 2017, and despite him now being 36-year-old he'd still be quite the coup. London Irish are said be very interested in the number eight ahead of their stadium move.
2. Guy Thompson (Flanker)
The 33-year-old was told he would be let go from Leicester Tigers last month just days before England went into lockdown due to coronavirus.
An aggressive ball-carrier with good footballing skills the, back-rower would be a great addition to the Gloucester pack.
3. Freddie Burns (Fly-half)
The fly-half returned to his hometown club Bath from Leicester Tigers ahead of the 2017/18 season but has become a bit part player. He has been linked with a move to Top 14 leaders Lyon and also reportedly has offers from Super Rugby clubs.
A fan favourite during his first stint with the Cherry & Whites between 2007 and 2014, it wouldn't be a major shock if the 29-year-old returned to Kingsholm to replace likely leaver Owen Williams.
4. Charlie Matthews (Lock)
The Rugby Paper recently reported that the second row, who joined from Harlequins, is out of contract this summer and is attracting interest from Top 14 clubs.
The 6ft 7in second-row would add some much-needed depth in the second-row if Gloucester could persuade him to swap the Ricoh for Kingsholm.
5. Jonny May (Winger)
May is yet to agree to terms with the Tigers for beyond his contract which ends in June because we understand he is reluctant to take a pay cut of around £100,000 a year.
Tigers want May, 29, to stay at Welford Road but Steve Diamond’s Sharks, who are looking to replace Chris Ashton after he joined Harlequins, are circling, according to The Rugby Paper.
However, according to RUCK sources, May would favour a return to Kingsholm, rather than a move to the North West.
