Despite Eddie Jones resistance to picking in-form Gallagher Premiership players, here are six stars who impressed over the weekend for their respective clubs this weekend…

#1. Dan Kelly (Leicester Tigers)

Age: 20
Position: Centre
Score: Leicester 35-20 Northampton

Leicestershire Live: "When Burns wasn’t weaving his magic, Kelly was on hand to smash it up for Tigers. One carry over Mitchell was robust as they come, and seemingly took the spark out of the Saints scrum-half."

#2. Don Armand (Exeter Chiefs)

Age: 33
Position: Flanker
Score: Exeter 24-15 Gloucester

Devon Live: "When Armand is in this type of form it is hard to work out why he isn’t in the team every week. He constantly got Exeter on the front foot when carrying and tackled like a demon, bouncing off the ground to make back-to-back tackles on multiple occasions. A relentless force."

#3. Paolo Odogwu (Wasps)

Position: Centre/Winger

Coventry Live: "Four tries in two games, Paolo is back and finishing like before his injury. Went within a whisker of a hat-trick and also pounced for a penalty at a breakdown too. Did give away a penalty was done on the outside by Max Ojomoh for Faletau’s try. But he brings the Christian Wade-like factor Wasps have missed, a finisher, a threat, a bundle of excitement and a joy to watch."

Gloucestershire Live: "The winger was Gloucester’s most dangerous player on the pitch and top the stats in pretty much every category across the backline, with a team high 76m made, four defenders beaten. His brilliant incision in the first half directly led to Clarke’s opening try, with the Chiefs defence unable to recover."
