Christian Wade’s short-lived stint in Super League appears to be nearing its conclusion, with reports strongly suggesting the winger is eyeing a return to Premiership Rugby for the 2025/26 season.
According to RugbyPass, salary cap restrictions at Wigan Warriors are a key factor behind Wade’s likely departure.

The speedster has not featured for the club in over a month since their defeat to Hull, despite impressing early on with two tries in his first two appearances.
The former Wasps, Racing 92 and Gloucester flyer remains one of English rugby’s most lethal finishers, sitting second on the all-time Premiership try-scoring list with 93 – just eight behind record-holder Chris Ashton.
Unsurprisingly, speculation has already begun over his next destination, with Wade being loosely linked to a move to the newly rebranded Newcastle Red Bulls.
However, those rumours remain unverified at this stage.
