1. Owen Farrell was not at first registered as a Farrell, but took mum Colleen’s family name of O’Loughlin. The couple married in 1995, changing Owen’s surname to Farrell the following year.

2. On 8 November 2009, George Ford became the youngest Rugby Union player to make his professional debut in England, breaking the record of international teammate Owen Farrell, at just 16 years and 237 days old when Leicester played Leeds in the LV= Cup

3. Harlequins failed to offer Joe Launchbury a professional contract aged 18, so he left the club and joined then National League 2 South side Worthing.

4. Shields was born eight weeks premature and weighed four-and-half-pounds. He was picked for an All Blacks squad in 2012, but never played.

6. Joe Cokanasiga was born in Fiji but at the age of three, moved to England with his father, Ilaitia, who was in the British Army. They formed a father-son centre partnership for the Army Vets team before returning to the UK in 2013.

7. Bath speedster Ruaridh McConnochie was a member of Team GB's silver medal winning team in Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

8. Harry Williams still drives a 1999 Nissan Micra. He studied English and sports science at Loughborough University - and scraped a 2:1 by 0.1 per cent! Was part of the same Whitgift Daily Mail Cup-winning side as Elliot Daly and Marland Yarde.
