England rugby star Billy Vunipola has revealed how he wanted the Red Rose to lose the 2003 World Cup final because of his Welsh upbringing.
Extracts from his book, ' Wrecking Ball: A Big Lad From A Small Island - My Story So Far' appeared in the Times on Friday morning.
Vunipola says in the book: "Growing up in Wales, everyone used to hate England. They were the enemy.
"On the day of that World Cup final, I definitely wanted Australia to win. When England won that unforgettable game, I was so angry.
"'I hate that Wilkinson guy,' I said to anyone in earshot."
Billy Vunipola's new book Wrecking Ball: A Big Lad From A Small Island - My Story So Far is to be published by Headline on September 20 priced £20.
