France player ratings vs Wales as the tournament favourites romped to a Six Nations bonus-point victory in Cardiff.

France marched on in style — and kept their Grand Slam dream burning brightly with a crushing 54-12 statement win over Wales in Cardiff.

Les Bleus were electric from the first whistle, running in eight tries to blow away a struggling Welsh side who simply could not live with the pace, power and precision of Fabien Galthié’s men.

Theo Attissogbe lit up the wing with two superb finishes, while Emilien Gailleton, Fabien Brau-Boirie and the ever-dangerous Louis Bielle-Biarrey all crossed as France cut loose. Matthieu Jalibert pulled the strings beautifully, adding a try of his own, with skipper Julien Marchand and Charles Ollivon driving home the dominance up front. Thomas Ramos was ice-cool from the tee, slotting 14 points to keep the pressure relentless.

It was a complete performance — ruthless in attack, aggressive in defence and brimming with confidence. Every mistake from Wales was punished, every opportunity seized.

Even the atmosphere reflected the shift in fortunes. Just 57,744 fans were inside the Principality Stadium — the lowest Six Nations crowd there outside the Covid years — as French flair silenced Cardiff.

For France, the mission is clear. The Grand Slam remains within reach — and on this evidence, Les Bleus look ready to chase history.

15 Thomas Ramos — 8

Unbelievably quick on the ball and had so many nice touches throughout the match. Solid conversion kicking, even if an early one was extremely wayward for his standards. Big attacking threat overall.

14 Theo Attissogbe — 9

The 21-year-old Pau star was on fire today, scoring a brace, but also offered plenty across the whole match. He is absolutely rapid and very good in the air, and has all the attributes to succeed in this France side. Kept his width well and was rewarded.

13 Emilien Gailleton — 8

Scored the first try of the game and found some nice lines, working well with Pau partner Brau-Boirie. Perhaps not as effective as the man inside of him, which was a very high standard. Very, very good talent.

12 Fabien Brau-Boirie — 8.5

Debuts don't get much better. The 20-year-old has well and truly burst onto the international scene now, showing some brilliant agility and playmaking skills. Was duly rewarded with an easy score for the visitor's third. Keep an eye on this kid.

11 Louis Bielle-Biarrey — 8.5

Just a joke of a player. His pace is undefendable, and he displayed it in full force at times. Turned Aaron Wainwright inside out on one occasion when he had no right to. Scored a simple try in the corner, which isn't quite his brace against Ireland, but good enough.

10 Matthieu Jalibert — 9

Player of the Match after running the show. He spreads the play so well to the wings, which Wales found incredibly hard to defend against. Some great offloads as well, including one that set up a try. Always looked to make things happen, and managed it more often than not.

9 Antoine Dupont — 8.5

Not quite at the level of his incredibly high standards, even if he was still incredibly effective and tough to defend against. His speed of service is absolutely unbelievable and he kept Wales guessing all afternoon. Just an amazing rugby player who is a step above the rest, and doesn't need to be at the top of his game to have a brilliant impact.

1 Jean-Baptiste Gros — 7.5

Came off after a 50-minute shift that included some good physicality in the carry and in the tackle, while being solid but unremarkable at scrum time against a surprisingly good Wales front row. Solid.

2 Julien Marchand — 8

Came off after 50 minutes in his 50th cap, which he marked with a try from a maul right at the start of the second period. Did his job effectively, which was made easier at lineout time by a lack of a contest from the hosts.

3 Dorian Aldegheri — 7.5

Similar to Gros, nothing to really write home about, but solid. A couple of deft offloads in typical French fashion though.

4 Charles Ollivon — 8

Put on his wheels for France's first try of the afternoon and was rewarded in his 50th cap with a score of his own in the second half. Had a pretty easy time of it in the lineout, even if he wasn't able to win any opposition ones.

5 Mickael Guillard — 7.5

Not as good as he was against Ireland last week, albeit that was an extremely tough act to follow. Showed glimpses in the carry and put in plenty of work at the breakdown, and his 52-minute shift was good enough.
