Gabby Logan’s rugby star son ’embarrassed’ by presenters comments

Reuben Logan, the son of TV presenter Gabby and former Scotland international Kenny Logan, is making his own name in rugby.

The 20-year-old secured a move to Sale Sharks from Northampton Saints this summer—though the transfer was prematurely revealed when Gabby accidentally mentioned it on her The Mid Point podcast.

Gabby has never shied away from frank conversations on her show — including with husband Kenny. The couple have openly discussed his prostate removal, diving into everything from “penis pumps” and “the size of his testicles” to their “first attempt at postoperative sex.”

While Gabby’s candidness might make for good podcasting, her son admits it hasn’t always been easy to hear — especially when teammates start blasting it in the gym.

“I will openly say now that I said: ‘Can. You. Please. Stop’,” Reuben told The Telegraph. “I remember being in the gym at Saints and the podcast was being played for half the gym session. It was only my second or third month there!

“I did not know that that podcast had happened until I had heard it and I remember saying to her: ‘What have you been talking about online?’

“‘It’s good!’ she said. I said: ‘I’m sure it is but you do have a late-teenage son in a rugby environment, so you have to think about that!’ Maybe Lois (Reuben’s twin sister) was not affected at university with her friends but I might have been.”

Reuben joked that while Gabby’s sex-life chat wasn’t a “slip-up,” her premature reveal of his transfer move definitely caught him off guard.

“And (unlike the transfer reveal) that wasn’t a slip-up! She wasn’t hiding talking about that. But, yeah, I got a bit of stick from a few lads I knew here when (the transfer reveal) came out. Mum didn’t think it was a big deal.

“My mum said it was kind of my fault – but it wasn’t really. She asked me when I thought they would announce it and I said either next week or the following week.

"The following Tuesday she said the move was happening and they had planned on doing it a week or so later. I had a long day at training, had a quick nap, woke up, looked at my phone: ‘Woah, what is going on?’”

Reuben, who began in the Wasps academy before stints at Northampton and Hinckley RFC, has represented England at U18 and U20 level. But with family roots running deep in Scottish rugby through his father — and Welsh through grandfather Terry Yorath — he chose to pull on the Scotland jersey for the U20 Six Nations earlier this year.

Gabby has previously admitted she’s made life awkward for her son, saying: “I make life really difficult for him by having (my own) podcast where I talk about my sex life.”

She added: “He’s like, ‘Mum, it’s really nice that you and dad have talked about his prostate cancer. Can you stop talking about your sex life for me though, because now I go into work, they play clips of The Mid Point
