Henry Pollock has quickly become one of England rugby's biggest characters, but he's not the only talented athlete in his family.
The Northampton Saints flanker has made quite the name for himself. Big tackles, outrageous celebrations and a habit of winding up opponents have made him impossible to ignore.
Still only 21, he's already represented England and toured Australia with the British & Irish Lions.
But rugby isn't the only sport the Pollock family excels at. His relatives have enjoyed some pretty impressive sporting careers of their own.
From his family's sporting achievements to the country he grew up supporting, here are 10 things you probably didn't know about Henry Pollock.
10 facts about Henry Pollock
1. His mum was a national-level triathlete
Pollock's mother, Hester, competed in triathlon at national level and played a huge part in shaping his sporting career.
While most children enjoyed a lie-in at weekends, the future England star was getting up at 5.30am for two-hour swimming sessions.
The family also spent their weekends travelling around the country competing in triathlons.
Speaking to the BBC about his sporting childhood, Pollock credited his mother with introducing him to fitness and developing his love of sport.
Those gruelling early mornings clearly paid off.
2. His sister almost qualified for the Olympics
Henry isn't the only elite sporting talent in the Pollock household.
His older sister, Zoe, competed in the 400m hurdles for the University of Georgia in America.
She was a talented enough athlete to come close to qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Her achievements were highlighted in Henry's recent interview with Tatler.
Having an accomplished hurdler for a sister perhaps helps explain why Pollock has never been short of pace.

3. His brother is a scratch golfer
The sporting talent doesn't end there.
Pollock's older brother, Angus, is an accomplished golfer who has played off scratch.
In his Tatler interview, Henry explained how growing up as the youngest of three helped fuel his competitive nature.
He admitted he wants to win at almost everything he does.
That competitive streak was also evident in the family garden, where he regularly battled his older brother.
4. He grew up supporting Scotland
Here's one that might surprise England supporters.
Despite becoming one of the most exciting players in the England rugby setup, Pollock actually grew up supporting Scotland.
Both his parents were born north of the border, meaning he was eligible to represent the Scots.
The British & Irish Lions' official profile confirms his childhood preference for the thistle over the rose.
Pollock eventually represented England, but his family connections mean his international career could have taken a very different path.
5. He started playing rugby at scrum-half
It's difficult to imagine the explosive back-rower playing anywhere other than flanker.
However, Pollock originally started his rugby journey as a scrum-half.
His outspoken personality reportedly played a part in his positional switch, with his habit of talking back to referees contributing to a move into the back row.
He has barely looked back since.
His confrontational style remains a major part of his game, with Pollock admitting in a Sky Sports interview that he enjoys getting under opponents' skin.
6. He wants to complete an Ironman
Playing international rugby apparently isn't enough of a physical challenge for Pollock.
In his recent Tatler interview, the England star revealed ambitions to complete an Ironman triathlon and an ultramarathon.
An Ironman involves a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and a full marathon.
Given his mother's triathlon background, perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise.
For now, though, his attention remains firmly on rugby.
7. He plays guitar in a phone-free basement
Away from the pitch, Pollock has a surprisingly relaxed hobby.
The England flanker plays acoustic guitar in a basement room where he deliberately avoids using his phone.
His musical tastes include Oasis, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.
He also revealed to Tatler that he speaks Spanish, having spent childhood holidays in Menorca, where his family owns a property.
Not quite the image you might expect from one of rugby's most confrontational characters.
8. He scored twice on his England debut
Pollock couldn't have asked for a better introduction to senior international rugby.
The Northampton star made his England debut against Wales in Cardiff during the 2025 Six Nations.
Coming off the bench, he scored twice as Steve Borthwick's side secured a thumping 68-14 victory.
According to his official Northampton Saints profile, he had already scored ten tries in 22 club appearances during the 2024/25 campaign.
His fearless performances quickly established him as one of the most exciting young players in English rugby.
9. He became the youngest player on the 2025 Lions tour
Just months after making his England debut, Pollock received another extraordinary opportunity.
He was named in Andy Farrell's British & Irish Lions squad for the 2025 tour of Australia.
At just 20 years old, he was the youngest player selected.
He was also given responsibility for looking after BIL, the Lions' famous stuffed mascot.
The youngster joked about fitting the toy with an AirTag to prevent his teammates from hiding it.
The Lions revealed the story behind Pollock's remarkable rise, including the incredible fitness levels that helped him reach the international stage.
He can squat 230kg for three repetitions and bench press 140kg, according to the Lions' report.
Not bad for someone who had barely started his senior international career.
10. He didn't always think he was a great rugby player
For all his confidence today, Pollock wasn't always convinced he would become a professional rugby player.
Speaking to Tatler, he admitted he wasn't the best player during his early days at Stowe School.
However, his enjoyment of the sport grew alongside his ability.
He eventually progressed through Northampton's academy before signing his first professional contract in 2023.
His rapid rise has since taken him from the PREM to the international stage.
And with a mother who competed in triathlons, a sister who chased Olympic qualification and a brother who mastered the golf course, perhaps his extraordinary competitive streak was inevitable.
The celebrations might divide opinion, but one thing is clear: winning has always been a family affair for Henry Pollock.
