Worked hard to try to get Scotland moving against Ireland and offered little kicks over for Hogg to run on to. But it was largely ineffective from one of the team’s creative minds. 

It was certainly a performance below his standards.  The full-back was horrendous under the high ball and failed to prove a threat on attack.

Replaced midway through the second half, Lealiifano had a tough afternoon at the office. Hardly afforded an inch of space, Lealiifano was belted a couple of times and lost the ball in contact in the 22nd minute. Lealiifano and the entire backline were guilty of going too wide too early.null

Quiet performance from Coles but perhaps focused on his other core roles instead of the usual, open-play running we like to see from him. Had an error at the lineout before getting dragged off at halftime.

The fly-half was the top scorer at the tournament four years ago – but his kicking was far from accurate with a few unexpected misses ultimately costing the Pumas against France.

Will be feeling the effects of Zane Kapeli’s enormous tackle on him in the opening exchanges, and slightly faded from the game following the hit. Will need to be more prominent as the tournament wears on.
