The Telegraph have reported this evening that Zach Mercer will return to the Gallagher Premiership this season, which makes the England number 8 eligible for next year's Rugby World Cup.
Mercer confirmed earlier this summer that Eddie Jones had been in touch over his international future.
“I think he respects me a lot more that I took this opportunity and have gone to France because I wanted to develop my game," said Mercer on the RugbyPass Offload podcast.
"I think he looks at me slightly differently than he did before."
