It is an unwritten rule that nobody talks about what happens in the scrum. Some say that it is so horrible that they couldn't talk about it even if they wanted to.
However, England and Harlequins prop Joe Marler has let slip some of the things said when the two forward packs come together.
#1.Welcome
In one of his first internationals Marler was greeted off the bench with his opposite number saying 'welcome to hell'.
He simply responded: "If this is hell, I'm the Devil."

#2. Mum Joke
Marler has always enjoyed a Mum joke, and once suggested a scrum full of 16 sweaty men 'smells like your Mum' to his opposite number.
#3. Boring
Not necessarily a scrum, but Marler summed up how well all feel about the annoying 'caterpillar' ruck.
"You're fucking boring me, hurry up."
#4. Singing
He doesn't mind showing off his singing skills in the scrum now and then.
#5. A bet's a bet
Joe Marler asks referee Andrew Small if he's wearing white boots for a bet.
