Springbok Cobus Reinach stood down with immediate effect

The Stormers scrumhalf was forced off in the 60th minute of their United Rugby Championship clash with the Glasgow Warriors.

After the match, Stormers head coach John Dobson said Reinach was wearing a brace and still awaiting a scan. He added that the injury didn’t look like one with a quick recovery time, suggesting possible ligament damage—potentially to the medial ligament—while expressing hope it wasn’t an ACL tear, though still serious enough to sideline him for a period.

On Monday, Reinach offered a more positive sign, posting a photo alongside halfback partner Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu with the caption: “Not an ACL.”
