Three players who made their England debut before their Premiership bow

Born in New Zealand to English parents, the back-rower agreed to sign for Wasps ahead of the 2018/19 Premiership season. However, before he even arrived at the club, he was fast tracked and made his international debut for Eddie Jones' team in June 2018 during England's summer tour of South Africa.

The exciting playmaker was spotted by Andy Robinson and Brian Ashton while playing for Colston School in 1999–2000. He made his début for England during the summer tour to North America in 2001 in a game against the United States on 16 June in San Francisco, coming on in the second half as a replacement in the 48–19 win. He was 19 years old at the time, and had not yet made a senior appearance for Bath.

Born in New Zealand to an English mother, Te'o spent seven years playing Rugby League before switching codes in 2014. The powerhouse centre became one of Leinster’s star players in 2015/16, helping them reach the Pro 12 final and was named the club’s Player of the Year.

Having agreed a move to Worcester, he was subsequently called up to Eddie Jones’ England squad to tour Australia in the summer of 2016. He'd go onto make just a dozen appearances with four tries in his first season at Sixways.
