Centre Matt Scott will leave the club at the end of the season to join English Premiership side, Leicester Tigers.
The Scotland internationalist, 29, will link-up with the Welford Road club following the conclusion of the 2019-20 campaign.
Following a two-year spell with Gloucester, Scott re-joined his hometown team in 2018.
In two seasons in the Scottish capital, the 39-times capped centre has featured in 20 games, scoring six tries in that period.
The 29-year-old said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Tigers. It is one of the biggest club’s in Europe and an institution of English rugby.
“It’s a team I watched growing up, winning a lot, and if someone told me as a teenager that I would play for Tigers, I wouldn’t have believed them.”

Scott also pointed towards the faith he had in the club improving on recent seasons with the right people in place at Tigers.
“I think looking at the quality of the team and the guys who have committed to staying and those who are arriving next season was a big draw for me,” he said.
“It will take hard work and tough people to get back up, but I have no doubt the right players and staff are at Tigers to do it.”

3. Matt Toomua
Ultimately, did he make the difference that the club wanted? You'd have to say no. It started awfully for him, being sin-binned for a spear tackle in his first game before suffering a serious knee injury, which ruled him out for six months, in his second.The Aussie dazzled at time during his three-year stint but was limited to just 45 appearances. Didn't deliver regularly enough.
4. Dan Lyle
The Bath and USA legend made the rare switch from the Rec to Welford Road in 2003. However, after just three appearances, the 6ft 5in back-row-forward quit the club after being given a ‘great opportunity’ in America. A waste of time.
