Here, we will be ranking those stars in terms of which have gone on to have the better careers having previously been labelled as England's next best thing by TalkSport in 2015:
5. Jack Clifford
- Position: Flanker
- Caps: 7
The Australian-born back row forward had a fast rise to fame as he captained the 2013 England U20s to Six Nations and Junior World Cup titles, before representing England 7s during the HSBC World Sevens Series in Japan and Hong Kong.
He would soon go on to make his England debut in the 2016 RBS Six Nations Championship. This was followed by the successful 2016 tour to Australia and the record-setting international win streak.
However, due to a succession of injuries since 2017, he failed to win another cap and was forced to retire in August 2020 due to a shoulder problem.
4. Dave Sisi
- Position: Flanker
- Caps: 0 (Italy 24 caps)
The former England U20 international impressed on his Six Nations debut as Italy lost 33-20 to Scotland at Murrayfield in 2019, and has since won nine caps.
He moved to Bath after impressing for England U20s but struggled to hold down a regular place. The 27- year-old flanker now plays his rugby with Zebre in the POR14
3. Luke Cowan-Dickie
- Position: Hooker
- Caps: 34
The hooker continues to feature regularly within the England ranks. Since making his Test debut in 2015, he has helped his country to win the Grand Slam in 2016 and was part of Eddie Jones’ squad that got to the final of the Rugby World Cup against South Africa in Japan in 2019.
He then won three caps during the 2021 Lions tour of South Africa.
2. Henry Slade
- Position: Centre
- Caps: 48
Although the Chiefs lost the 2016 showpiece to Saracens, they returned 12 months later and this time Slade was victorious, helping Exeter to see off Wasps after extra time.
A week later, Slade was on a plane heading for South America where he featured twice for England on their summer tour to Argentina.
He's since gone onto form a formidable midfield partnership with Manu Tuilagi for Eddie Jones men
1. Jack Nowell
- Position: Winger
- Caps: 42
Often used on the wing, he is equally adept playing at centre or full-back, where his willingness to look for work, coupled with his ability to spot a gap and add the scoring finish, has made him a deadly performer for both club and country.
Alongside four of his Exeter club-mates he helped England Under-20s to lift the Junior World Cup in 2013, before making his senior international debut a year later against France.

He scored his first international try shortly after against Italy and has since go on to represent England in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, as well as helping the Red Rose country to lift the last two Six Nations titles.
A magnificent 2017, however, was crowned with him lifting the Premiership title in May against Wasps, then heading to New Zealand a month later to feature for the British & Irish Lions on their summer tour. In doing so he became Exeter’s first-ever Lions representative.
