Most overrated England rugby players? Which England players are the most overrated? We asked England fans who the most overrated players in recent history are and the results may surprise you.

5. Marcus Smith

One fan wrote: "He has potential to be immense, but is still lacking in a lot of areas and as shown during the Six Nations. He isn't as good at game management as England's other options."

"I’m not digging how far Smith plays behind the gain line. He’s good in broken play but needs to play way flatter to be rated as highly as he is," another added.

One fan wrote: “I think compared to normal players he’s pretty decent. But, we’re talking about being overrated, and Danny has been constantly touted by the media as the next big thing and he has definitely not lived up to that mantle.”
