England's embarrassing 2015 Rugby World Cup defeat to Wales was one of the lowest moments in the national team's long history - and there have certainly been a few.

Gareth Davies's late try from Lloyd Williams' brilliant cross-field kick and 23 points from Dan Biggar's unblemished boot sealed victory.

This is a devastating loss for England, for whom Owen Farrell kicked 20 points.

Jonny May scored a first-half try for the hosts, who turned down a tricky late shot at goal and paid the price.

First thing's first, the manager did not last long. In fact, Stuart Lancaster left the role immediately following the World Cup.

CENTRES:

Brad Barriitt: Hung up his boots in 2020 and is now a managing director back In South Africa. He is also the co-founder of coffee brand Tiki Tonga.

Sam Burgess: Never played rugby union again, clearing back off to rugby league before hanging up his boots to head into coaching.

Joe Marler: Still on the cusp of the England squad and a true fan favourite down at Twickenham Stoop.

Tom Youngs: Retired from the game in late 2021 to care for his wife Tiffany, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Youngs has now dived head first into the family farm.

Dan Cole: Fell out a favour with England after the 2019 World Cup, but is still trucking away as a regular down at Leicester Tigers.

SECOND-ROW:

Geoff Parling: Didn't play for England again following the World Cup. Continued to play for Exeter before heading to Japan. He then ended his career with Melbourne Rebels before becoming forwards coach for the Australia national side.

Courtney Lawes: Still at Northampton and became England captain during the Autumn Nations Series in th backend of 2021.

BACK-ROW:

Tom Wood: Retired at the end of the 2021/22 season after 10 years with Northampton Saints. He's now set to take his part time business in carpentry full time.

Chris Robshaw: Left Harlequins after he fell out of the England reckoning and is still playing with San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby.
