Harlequins have reportedly secured the signing of powerhouse centre André Esterhuizen after meeting his lofty wage demands, according to The Rugby Paper.
The report reveals that after lengthy negotiations, the Gallagher Premiership has agreed on a £340,000 per season contract for the 25-year-old Springbok star, who had been linked with a move to the French Top 14.
He had been with the Sharks since 2013, during which time he has also played for the Munakata Sanix Blues in Japan. The centre has eight Test caps for the Springboks.
Estherhuizen, who can also operate at fullback, will be best known to Quins supporters for being on the wrong end of Owen Farrell’s shoulder during a 2018 Autumn International at Twickenham.
